Find the Wild Places (from your desk): Minnesota Scientific and Natural Areas Program

Session Description

There are over 160 Scientific and Natural Areas across Minnesota; one is likely near your home! How do you engage people and share the story of these lands? You go online. The Scientific and Natural Areas Program is in the process of creating several online initiatives to engage people with their public lands both remotely and virtually. Transport yourself to an SNA via one of the “virtual hike” videos shared to the 7,000+ followers of the Scientific and Natural Area Facebook page, participate and learn in an online naturalist presentation, or join in a remotely organized statewide iNaturalist Bioblitz (stay-tuned for more details on this one). Learn more about these projects, how you can connect to your favorite public lands virtually, and share them with your friends!
